Every spring, La Ruche Gourmande offers quality bee swarms from its own stock, along with personalised guidance from M. Salis, an artisan beekeeper, for new beekeepers in the area.

Tips to get started

• 🐝 Basic equipment: a hive, a suit, a smoker and a hive tool are enough to get started.
• 🎓 Recommended training: check with a beekeeping school or a local beekeeping association to learn the essential gestures before receiving your swarm.
• 📍 A suitable location: orientation, distance from homes and access to water should be discussed with La Ruche Gourmande.
• 🤝 Ongoing support: La Ruche Gourmande remains available to answer your questions during your first season.
